Visiting us

We’re on Rruga Sulejman Delvina in the Sheshi Wilson area – one of Tirana’s most walkable and lively neighbourhoods. Open daily from 09:00 to 18:00. Open in Google Maps →

Yes – free Wi-Fi is available for all guests. Ask your barista for the password when you arrive. We’re a comfortable spot to work from.

Yes, we have outdoor seating – perfect for Tirana’s warmer months. We also have a cosy indoor space with around 30 seats.

Our coffee

We’re a specialty coffee shop serving single origin beans roasted by The Barn Berlin – one of Europe’s most respected specialty roasters. Our espresso menu includes everything from a classic espresso to flat white, cortado, and latte macchiato. We also brew V60 pour over and cold brew using rotating single origin filter beans from Ethiopia, Kenya, Burundi, and Colombia.

Our house espresso is a Catuai Natural from Minas Gerais, Brazil – roasted by The Barn Berlin. It’s naturally sweet, clean, and works beautifully in milk drinks and as a straight espresso.

Our V60 filter menu rotates with the beans we stock from The Barn Berlin. Current origins include: Chelbesa (Ethiopia – apricot, nougat, floral), Bumba Hill (Burundi – pomegranate, black tea, silky), Kamwangi AB (Kenya — red currant, raisin, syrupy), and Guava Banana (Colombia — guava, mango, vibrant). Ask your barista what’s currently pouring.

Espresso is the base – a short, concentrated shot. A cortado is espresso with a small amount of steamed milk (roughly 1:1 ratio), cutting the intensity. A flat white is espresso with more milk, microfoamed very smooth – smaller and stronger than a latte. Your barista is always happy to help you choose.

Vegan & dietary

Yes. Plant-based milk is available for all coffee and matcha drinks. Our Vegan Loaf is made in-house daily and is completely plant-based. Most of our menu is vegan-friendly or can be adapted – just ask your barista.

We offer plant-based milk as an option for all drinks. Ask your barista what’s currently available – we keep things seasonal and sourced thoughtfully.

We serve a rotating selection of in-house desserts daily – including cookies, cheesecake, and a vegan loaf. We also offer matcha, chai latte, turmeric latte, organic hot chocolate, kombucha, and fresh orange juice alongside our full coffee menu.

Buying beans

Absolutely. We stock a rotating selection of The Barn Berlin filter beans in 250g bags – currently including Chelbesa (Ethiopia), Bumba Hill (Burundi), Kamwangi AB (Kenya), and Guava Banana (Colombia). Ask your barista what’s available and they’ll help you choose based on your taste and brew method.

The beans we sell to take home are filter roast only, available in 250g bags. They’re ideal for V60, Aeropress, chemex, or French press at home. Our espresso roast (Catuai Natural, Brazil) is used in-house for our espresso menu.

About us

We work exclusively with The Barn Berlin – one of Europe’s most celebrated specialty roasters. Every bean is single origin and traceable to a specific farm. Beyond the coffee, The Back Room was built by two friends who spent months making the space feel genuinely good to be in. That care shows in every detail, from how we brew to how the room feels.

The Back Room was founded by Jonida and Uarda – two best friends with a long-shared dream of building a specialty coffee space in Tirana. They sat in every chair, moved things around more times than they can count, and opened the doors when it finally felt like somewhere they didn’t want to leave. All our beans are roasted by The Barn – a Berlin-based specialty roaster founded in 2010, known for their direct trade relationships, exceptional quality, and some of the most distinctive single origin coffees in Europe. We’re proud to be their partner in Tirana.
